Product Description

This Metro BC Series utility cart has four swivel casters, three black HDPE (high-density polyethylene) shelves with raised edges, an HDPE handle, and chrome posts, and is suitable for sorting, storing, and transporting items. The shelves and handle are made of the polymer HDPE for strength and resistance to moisture, solvents, corrosion, and rot. The shelves have 1/2-inch/13 mm raised edges to help contain liquid spills. Tapered split sleeves on the posts help hold and support the shelves. The center shelf adjusts in 1-inch/25 mm increments along single grooves in the post to accommodate items of varying heights. The posts have double grooves every 8 inches/203 mm to provide visual guides for adjustment of the shelf at desired heights. The cart handle is ergonomically positioned at 33-1/4 inches/845 mm to help minimize strain while pushing the cart. Rounded corners on the shelves help protect walls and furniture. The posts are made of chrome for durability, and to resist dirt buildup and corrosion. This utility cart has four 4-inch/102 mm thermoplastic swivel casters for mobility. This cart is NSF International-certified for food equipment for all environments (including refrigerators, freezers, and warewashing areas). It is typically used in the food service, healthcare, and commercial products industries, but can be used for other applications to sort, store, and dispense items.

The assembled utility cart is 33-1/4 x 18 x 28 inches/845 x 457 x 749 mm (H x W x L). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It has a 150 lb./68 kg per shelf capacity, and total capacity should not to exceed 400 lb./181 kg. This cart requires assembly and comes with instructions. No tools are required for assembly, but a rubber mallet (sold separately) is recommended.
